Forumers visiting certain threads on the forum using Google’s Chrome browser and also Firefox have reported a malware warning recently.
The text of the warning was
‘Warning: Visiting this site may harm your computer!
The website at http:// www.heaven-and-hell.proboards.com contains elements from the site icons.iconator.com, which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer.
For detailed information about the problems with these elements, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for icons.iconator.com.
Learn more about how to protect yourself from harmful software online.’
On both occasions, this has been traced to avatars linked to this site iconator.com. The reason for the warnings is not that Heaven and Hell, itself, is infected with viruses etc, but iconator.com is a known site for hosting these nasties and so just linking to this site triggers a malware warning from Chrome and Firefox. This will deter potential new members from registering, which is not what we want to happen at all.
To avoid this happening in the future, please first save any avatars or images you want to post on Heaven and Hell to an image hosting website such as Photobucket or Imageshack, and link them from there.
If you have any questions about this, or encounter any similar problems in the future please PM one of the admin team.

May I add to this, please take the above advice because you shouldn't be hotlinking anyway as it consumes the bandwidth of someone who probably pays for their web space. altlab.com/hotlinking.html Not yelling here, it just seems that not everyone knows what this is.
