^that happened at Manchester. So many people said *oooh I wondered what he was up to now!* Also the security at Manchester didn't seem to care I was teaming the que... they saw and heard me do it! I wandered up and down the que before the gig with no problems. Nor after either... Also...1500 flyers! Impressive. ;D Trix - I exhault you baby!!!! ;D

I've got my printer cued to print a pile tomorrow morning, and I'm going to leave a few in the Placebo section of one record store and a pile on the counter of another. (As long as you don't mind, of course ) I'm looking into how much free advertising space my company's website can afford, and I'll cram it with a LAR banner as soon as it goes live (hopefully before the new year) and hand out more flyers at local gigs once we start organising them!!

As some people know I've been away (went to Europe after street-teaming for LAR at the Bo gigs in Birmingham and London), so I've just been catching up on how things went at the other gigs. I'd also like to clarify that it was me who asked for, and was sent, the pdf file of the LAR flyer by Steve's It guy. I asked for it originally because I wanted to give them out but I wasn't able to pick them up from the drop-off point. This was before poetress got in touch with me and we arranged to meet up so I could get some. I then asked the IT guy if it was ok to send the file to poetress, and he said yes. I say all this just for historical accuracy, you understand. S xx

^ for the sake of more detailed historical accuracy (and no offence to Stella who has been a massive help with the street teaming): I had this idea about a week before the 'bo gigs to make some flyers about LAR and hand them out to people queueing. I contacted Steve out of courtesy just in case, given the circumstances, he didn't want them handed out at placebo gigs. Steve then arranged for the official flyers to be printed and I collected them from the printers ready to hand out at the gigs. Meanwhile NiLah had posted (here and on pfww) asking for people to street team and when I saw the number of responses, and realised I now had 1,000 professional quality flyers to hand out, we pooled resources and managed to organise a team to take the flyers round all gigs on the tour. Meanwhile, Stella had asked for the pdf file (as she said above). And once she had the file she kindly sent it on to me in case I needed to get more printed. Zee asked me if she could post the scan of the flyer on lj for people to print off and street team. I checked that there were no objections to us doing this and then got sent the pdf (again!) by Steve's IT guy. This is how we got official flyers to hand out, a street team for the bo gigs, and the pdf which can be printed off for further street teaming around the world If anyone who's been reading this thread hasn't seen it, the pdf file can be downloaded from this thread: www.heaven-and-hell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=5&action=display&thread=88poetress x

Thank you both (and everyone else involved by the way). For further historical accuracy, my records say i approached Steve on the 2nd, offering firstly to personally put together flyers if this was needed, and to notify him about our interest in teaming the London 'Bo shows. He told me that Sam had also messaged him about this. That's about all i have to add I'm glad communications are obviously getting much better these days.

Yes - we need to make sure we communicate and pool resources and ideas - when we all come together, great things happen (and no, that's not a euphemism) ;D

Do the flyers have to be given out at gigs only? Or can they be given out at random times? -Emma

Emma, if you print off the flyer from the pdf you can use them for any street-teaming you like - leaving them in record shops, student bars, whatever - all ideas and activities are welcome babes!

No, you can give them out anywhere you think they'll spread the word Steve's actual response was "the more the merrier". I think he's grateful for any publicity we can give him - it's all to the good. And as his current facebook status shows, he really does appreciate our efforts So street team away poetress x

put them any where....so long as you have permission and its not illegal.......last thine we or i think LAR want is for anyone to get arrested for them!! or be a little sneeky...........hide them inbetween cd's in record stores, like hmv, because theyre not actually allowed to hand them out or display them in store
