- I am Jeremy. - I live close to London, but not close enough. - I found H&H through a mutual friend. - I will listen to anything once but I regularly purge my iPod and only the strong survive. Bowie, Bauhaus, Alabama 3, Hanoi Rocks, Sisters of Mercy, O Children and Love Amongst Ruin are strong. But I'm a sucker for a clever hook - the brass at the start of Crazy In Love for instance or the lyrical waxing of Scroobius Pip. I discriminate based on how it makes me feel (or not feel) as opposed to the genre of music.

I discriminate based on how it makes me feel (or not feel) as opposed to the genre of music. Hi Jeremy, welcome to the forum. I love what you wrote about music, and also your declaration that you never left the dark side! I'm Stella; I live in Staffordshire but I'm originally from London so I go there fairly regularly. Were you at the gig on Tuesday? If so, what were the high points for you? Hopefully see you at the Scala in June! In the meantime, have fun on the forum

Welcome Jeremy For some reason I had the urge to look up Scroobius Pip, and I'm impressed And I agree very much with your last sentence. So...what's your favourite LAR song?

I echo Nilah re Scroobius Pip. Cheers for the heads up there - sounds interesting and I will have to investigate further.

Well - what a friendly bunch you are *waves back to all* So many questions...lets's see Movies - top 5 - The Fifth Element / Brotherhood Of The Wolf / Snatch / Borat / Fight Club Vampires - always has been always will Favourite LAR song - Bring Me Down Favourite LAR song at the show on Tuesday - Home (the screaming the crashing of cymbals the roaring guitars....just great) Highlight on Tuesday? Seeing Steve Hewitt successfully morph from drummer to front-man and then just feed off the energy in that room, it's all good. Enjoy the rest of your weekends, I'm off to play in the sun, not very vampish but you have to get it while you can around here, ash clouds and rain clouds seem to prevail.

I usually read two books at once - something fiction and something non fiction. Well not literally at once, but during the same period of time, you know what I mean. :-) Anyway - I just finished the Sharon Osbourne autobiography - Extreme and a book called White Ghosts by Will Rhode. Neither of these are especially good, but I did read them all the way through. Something that I'm not always inclined to do.
