I'm stellar from PFWW - a few of you will know me. I've been meaning to join here for a while but just heard LAR's first gig tonight and am so impressed, no point putting it off any longer!
Other music I like - NIN, Placebo (of course), Patrick Wolf, IAMX, Kasabian. My tastes are pretty wide really - I'm 42 and music has been a massive part of my life since I was in my teens. I love QUALITY dance music mainly drum and bass, dubstep, as well. I spent a few years in the early 90's putting on raves in the UK and mainland Europe.
These days my life is pretty chilled and settled, and I work mainly doing IT stuff.
Don't know what else to say really. I've probably said more than I usually would!
Feel free to ask what you want.
BTW the spellcheck is awesome!

Hi Zee.
The worst song I've ever heard. That's so hard. But my mother is a classically trained singer and I developed an aversion to Gilbert and Sullivan at a pretty early age! And as for more recent stuff, well I got into music in the eighties and their was loads of stuff that was pretty dodgy in that decade - Kajagoogoo for instance.

hi Robyn Maybe I should add now my real nam is Jen, but I like stellar a lot. I have a nickname which I'm usually known by in RL, and stellar has pretty much the same meaning. vampires, pirates, warewolves, ghosts, zombies, witches, mummies, the living undead, ninjas or vampire pirates? Haha - now this would be my daughter's specialist subject!

Right now I'm really loving Heaven and Hell! It's so moody, and I love the sound of his voice on it

I've never heard of any of those. May I just add... thankbowie!! Your mother is a signer? Does she do that for living?

My mother is nearly eighty! But yes, for a short while before she married she sang professionally - mainly light opera and musicals. That's who Gilbert and Sullivan were, two Victorian or Edwardian composers of that sort of music, and my mum singing their songs around the house are my earliest musical memories!
Fortunately, I have two older brothers who introduced me to Bowie, the Stones, Patti Smith, The Velvet Underground, Television, Roxy Music and many more.

No, sadly I couldn't make the Manchester gig, but I did team at the ones the week before. I would guess you met Cat (CheyennePony) or Amy (Bellatrix) at Manchester

Yes, I met both Cat and Amy. Amy will know who I mean - she was handing out flyers after the gig. I'm rubbish with names.

Hiya! *waves and hugs hi*
Glad to see you've joined us here! I see you enjoyed the watching the gig last night too, I also loved it. About the other person at Manchester.. hmmm was it Karen? She's not on the forums... *attempts to descibe her. and fails.* Had a memorable accent, really bubbly.
Sorry my memory is terrible!
Anyway, newbie question... favourite film?
