Hello lovelies , I should have joined earlier, but better later than never but I think I'll have a proper welcome thingie, well as proper as possible.. So let's start- some of you may know me from pfww. I am Astrid, from Cologne/ Germany, 22 years old and currently I am studying some weird science thing . so what else- I believe I listen to the same music as most of you do except for some German stuff you won't know so I consider it as unnecessary to be mentioned.. and last but not least some random thing about me- I have to vomit when I eat Chuppa Chups (spelling??) lollipops

Hi back to everyone I hope I remember all the questions... um I am currently reading *goes to amazon to check the English title* the sweetness at the bottom of the pie by alan bradley, it is pretty good so far my superpower- definitely traveling back in time!! I'd love to see how people lived back in the past. and the science thing...um yeah well it is Molecular Science- a combination of chemistry, biology, physics and medicine. a mixture that is pretty abhorrent for most people and last but not least the German bands, well first of all die ärzte, a pop-punk band I really like. and Tocotronic, Kettcar, the Beatsteaks, die toten hosen, Seeed, die Beginner and never to forget, Rio Reiser . you don't know any of them, right?

Hi Zee! *happily glomps you back* in extremo, no not really mine, I am not that into medieval rock stuff.. and the same with Rammstein, I know many people are fond of them but I just don't get them...I look forward to see them live next year though, their shows are legendary. and it is only at a festival, I guess I couldn't stand being in a room only with Rammstein fans

^^^ Nope, but i didn't expect to know them either, the only German bands i know of are Rammstein and Tokio Hotel so that explains my eagerness to add something else to my list

S! Guten Tag Klee.
As if you mention Die Ärzte - They are so old school! Are they still active?
As for Rammstein, I'm glad you at least like their live shows. (I love them) I last saw them in Newcastle in 2006 - best £25 I've ever spent on watching a live act. Just, an incredible show.

Well, I don't get either of them, sorrryyyy But Rammstein are HUGE in my country as well. Sold out every gig. Speaking of german bands... have you ever heard about Die Happy?

First things first- hello to everyone saying hi As if you mention Die Ärzte - They are so old school! Are they still active? yes they are, they released their latest album last year or maybe 2007, I am not sure, time goes by so fast. but they toured a lot with it and it has been a huge success though I don't like it too much. and they all do their solo stuff on the side.. okay now I need to figure out how to multiquote... ...done! well I guess it was Placebo 2006 Rock am Ring because that is when I fell in love with the band, plus Placebo on friday because Brian was behaving um really weird, but a good weird and die Ärzte when they played an open air gig in the Cologne stadium on New Years Eve only because the gig was special with all the fireworks and stuff.. my uni forum. I know, the lamest answer possible but I want to check the dullest thing first.. yes I have, my brother is pretty fond of them so I know quite a lot of their stuff. and I am not totally sure but I think I might have seen them playing at a festival some years ago..
