so, if his daughter is singing too... can we talk about her too now on forums? I mean, I am kinda interested how she is and what she sounds like, but I also want to respect steve's privacy.
I think she's in her teens, because I believe that somewhere in the early interviews, Steve tells about fighting with Emily's mom on the phone. so that would be 199_something? (I could be wrong though)

Well, she is legally still a child, and so speaking as someone who works in children's services I think we should consider her privacy and Steve's privacy. Having said that, let us see what tomorrow's update reveals ... I guess we will be able to take our cue from what Steve says about her. S x

personally, i agree with you - generally, i think kids should be off-limits no matter what, but i do understand the curiosity, and if she is 'performing', that does raise the veil of privacy to a certain extent - but yes - Steve will no doubt be controlling all of that -

okay, I'll keep my questions for myself then. I wasn't sure OMG!!!! don't take MY comment the wrong way lovey - you are absohewittly entitled to wonder - don't hold back!! it's natural to be curious - we all are for sure - i just think that sometimes kids get brought out into the limelight too much but then again, Steve is having her work with him so he's no doubt gonna be very careful - i just don't personally want to speculate about her cuz i don't know what the hell i am talking about most of the time

I think in general questions of a private nature are off limits, regardless.
But certainly questions surrounding participants in the band RELEVANT to their involvement should be fine.
That said there's probably not a lot we need to know here that we dont already know...

Very well put, Kate. And bejoes, you mustn't apologise and I hope you don't consider yourself 'told off' or anything like that - this forum is a shiny happy place where we can support Steve *and* each other. I know your curiosity comes from a place of love, hon xxx

Ahhh, new!
Im so so so impressed with the quality of Steve's contribution to us with this whole project. It is fantastic to have such an honest and frank insight...to be kept in the loop. I really appreciate it, man.
Im glad to hear that the management and signing is going along smoothly, and yes we have the name released!
LOVE AMONGST RUIN!

As an album title... I love it. As a band... you just know there will be some twerp on the tv or radio who moans about it being a) emo-tastic :-p or b) it will lead to never ending questions about the source of the name... "so, like, who did you love???" And, like OMG, wait, is that about.."
The latter by teenie journos who cannot speak properly... or gossipy tittle tattle rags.
(note: this is written by someone who is currently reading d-listed website, so I probably shouldn't bitch!)
But on a more serious note, I personally like it. Its a little different.... which is always a good thing. :-D

yeah, I know what you mean.... I'm sure there'll be people complaining about it and some will be asking nosey questions. But I think the man knows what he's doing and surely there must be a reason for it. Maybe he's even ready now to answer some of the questions. (However, I must admit that reading the news, I immediately thought of *that* pairing... I just couldn't help it:) But again.. LAR sounds just great

^so did I... hence the second option. First thought.
If he is ready to answer the questions.. all the better. Closure, for want of a better word.
And yes, shortenings are love. LAR sounds snappy, cool...I like it muchly.
