The official News DISCUSSION thread. Anything you've read in the News section can be carried over here for a good old fashioned debate. Be kind please - constructive criticism is always good, but i think we all know "FAIL" and such other pointless posts aren't useful at all.

Hi, I just wanted to say I'm stupidly excited about the prospect of hearing Steve's new work and seeing him play live. I know that if you like someone you tend to give their music a kinder ear than you might otherwise, but from what he's posted on FB I think I'm genuinely going to like it. I'm almost exploding with anticipation!

it's not stupid. Steve is brilliant with a pair of drumsticks (at least, that's how I see it), and I'm very curious as well.
for the news bit: Steve is straight! omg I've never tought that would be true [/end sarcasm]

yes i agree and i've said pretty much the same in the other thread and now got myself thinking if i wrote in the write one... *wonders around*
he is indeed a very good drum player and ,in my opinion, very different from others either artisticly and as personality too. I normally picture drummers this really crazy guys cause they need to find some coordination in an instrument that requires being able to discoordinate yourself (lol does that make any sense at all?). anyway what i mean is i like very much his persona too as well as his fantastic drummer abilities.
so pleasee new album do come out of the studio!!!

^ I interpreted kisumi as saying that to find the rhythm you need to lose yourself somehow, or to loosen up yourself, to get into a state of pure flow ... that's what it feels like when I'm dancing, anyways.

Was at a friend's house last night, booking our trip to Europe in mid-Dec ... felt I had to explain to her that she would be going on her own if it transpired that Steve's new band were to play a gig. Am I a saddo? No, I say - I can't wait to hear the new stuff and I'm so into the idea of being there to support him with my fellow H+Hers (or at least those who can make it - I wish we all could). I'm so curious to hear another update, I am quietly imploding here.

^ *seconds* Tell me when and where and I will so be there! (Sorry for the OT now but: have you noticed that Steve doesn't "like" posts on his wall anymore? It's kinda sad, I liked the idea that he was reading that all... that he really was there online. ) Anyway, I need some news!

^ yeah, I noticed that, but he did send an open reply to 'Mike' ... guess you can't blame him, it's hard enough keeping up with a mere 50-odd friends!
Agree that we need news, otherwise there's nowt else to do but talk dirty on spam ;o)

Oh dear god, 6pm on Friday feels like an eternity away - I really must develop a capacity for deferred gratification.
Go Steve - so looking forward to The Story Part III xxx

Kate - you *have* to - consider it a pilgrimage ;D lol, trust me, before the news was even announced on FB a friend and I were discussing that I would be sleeping on her couch. So damn expensive to fly to the UK though Meanwhile my most recent tweet, so much has changed in a few years, October 1st, (2007) the day the music almost died. So pleased to have Steve back in our lives now! New announcement on Friday!
