Hello to everyone here! My name is Morgana, Im 24 and I live in Lisbon, Portugal.
Im also italian, my dad and my entire father family live there and are from there. Let me put to you this way, Im the only portuguese in my italian family and the only italian in my portuguese family - uff thats always hard to explain!
Im a university graduate and im currently working on my master's degree... and I work at the same time, so fun yeah!
I like different kinds of music, such as: Placebo, Muse, Bloc Party, The Beatles, Morphine (oh i loveee them), Queens of the Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Deftones, At the Drive-In, The Horrors.... well i could go on and on about this.
Books? well i read quite a lot but normally boring stuff (for most people at least) like philosophers as Plato, Aristotle, Kant, Charles Taylor, just to say my favorites.
well i think i did a pretty good introduction...
any questions?

Hey Morgana! It's good to see you on here. I'm delighted to meet another armchair philosopher - I studied it a bit a few years ago, and then I also taught (as an assistant) at A-level after that - until the college stopped running the course due to lack of interest, grr. I'm something of an existentialist (of course, being a Morrissey fan I'd have to be!), and I specialised in Jean-Paul Sartre. I just love the whole idea of our lives being nothing but the choices we make and the meaning we give it through our actions - like we're a work of art that is not complete until we die. I'm thinking of having something to do with 'being and nothingness' (title of one of his books) for my next tat ... OK, so my question for you is: which is your favourite time of year? Love S x

^ if I may speak for Morgana ... she's on pfww and we got chatting on her introductory thread there, and she expressed concern as to how Beanie was ... so I pm'd her about this forum and explained it was about supporting his new project, if she was interested. And she is - yay!
Morgana, I hope that's ok to speak for you - I suspected you may have been unsure about 'grassing me up' (if that makes sense in your language!) xx

Helloo everyone and let me just thank you all for your kindness!!! Sorry if I took so long to answer but i must say that im new to this online life and such so its hard to keep up! I'll try to answer all your questions! To Stella my favorite time of the year is definetly the autumn, love the dark days and the rainy atmosphere without being totally freezing weather. Iam too a sort of existentialist and the reason i love philosophy so much is very close to yours, meaning that for me the idea of getting through the root of everything and a closer path to the truth, whatever that is, and yes, the reason for man and mankind to be as it is and to find some explanation for our existance outside religion. Even if there is none. And while im here, thankx for introducing me to everyone and to this site To zee yes iam a Beatles fan(atic) ehehe, I remember being like 12 and every girl in my school would go nuts for the Backtrstreet Boys and I would go on and on about them. btw my favorite one must be John Lennon (of course) nothing new here, even though i like George Harrisson's songs very much too, specially While My Guitar Gently Weeps. to zwetschke about my fav movies... well i like very much Meirelles who directed The Constant Gardener and Cidade de Deus, another one of my fav is the Schindler's list, Velvet Goldmine (of course!!), The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Tim Burton's movies too, Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino (Death Proof was genious, havent seen the new one though ) well a lot (im trying hard to name more but these are all i remember for now sorry). To Nilah... really? Whats your nickname there? well about your question (good one, liked it very much) well i must say it depends on the cupcake to pixiecullen well i love the idea of a vampire pirate, so i'll go with that. he could even be some sort of evil superheroe with double special powers! to bellatrix my answer is i would scream and sing loud naked (since i was all by myself) and probably drown in the see after trying to swin my way back home... to borntomesmer humm you know that i really cant recall... i think i've always read these sort of books so sci-fi its a very new thing for me. its not that i dont like it, never came across with it really... any suggestions? well... i think i've answer pretty much everyone's questions... so i'll browse around the forum to check it out a little bit more. thankx again for the warm and very nice welcome!

Chuck Palahniuk - i've heard his world called "nihilist fiction" -(i'm not sure I agree w/ that label but....) he's a teensy bit in the vein of the existential lot (Sartre, Camus, et al.) but different... - (he wrote "Fight Club" upon which the movie was based ) his style is amazing, fast and the story-lines are 'out-there' - check him out!
