Have also commented (see below) and would encourage others to do likewise! Thanks Kate for the heads-up *exalts you* x Not quite accurate ...
Love Amongst Ruin opened their Set with 'Blood and Earth', not 'So Sad' (their new single out on 30th August). They played 'So Sad' towards the end of their storming set, and again during the encore which they very sweetly hadn't expected to have to do!
A rocking set, plus a beautiful new song 'Oh God', dedicated to the former Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable (who sadly died the week before), showcased LAR at their finest: a fine band of men with a heavy exterior, but with a centre of sweetness and glorious melody, an ear for a tune and a collective body for a thumping beat. They will tour the UK and Europe in the autumn following the release of their first album on 6th Sept - the first of many I hope. Welcome to the bittersweet sound of the dark side!Edit: I have put an APB out about this on my FB page so hopefully lots of people will see it

Yeah, it's the skiddle review which is innaccurate, right? And least favourable too. Having read both I would say the AAA review best reflects my experience of the gig.

the AAA review had a minor flaw, stating 2 cellists....in the AAA review double bass is written as "Double Bass" .....someone copied and pasted from my email cause thats how i wrote it (minus quoations) but i thought it best they get the instruments right, thats the first stag when writing a review right?!
it surprises me how many people write and publish reviews without doing a little research first, i mean a few minuets researching set list and instruments wouldnt hurt!

Jen, read your comment there, I think they got the name of the support band right, actually... well, according to the LAR fb page.
Other than that, yeah... we clearly were at the different gig.
