hey everyone, I've got a 15 minute interview with LAR just before their Zurich gig in October, and I'm feeling pretty nervous about it - i don't want to ask them all the usual questions, but at the same time I've only got 15 minutes so I need to be pretty succinct and to the point. Are there any burning questions you would like me to ask? What would you ask them if you had the chance? Any help greatly appreciated....thank you thank you! and of course, i will let you know (in great detail!) how it all goes. ps. thanks, zee, for helping me find my way around here, I'm such a n00b

Hey there First of all, let me echo Jen's words in the other thread and say the band are really lovely so you mustn't feel nervous! I can't remember the questions she and I were toying with either, but here's a couple of ideas off the top of my head: How are you enjoying the European tour? What have been the highlights so far? Favourite cities? Other places you'd like to see? What have you been listening to while you've been on the tour bus? Any funny tour stories you want to share? How are you looking forward to spending Xmas? What are your plans for future recording as a whole new band? Have you been writing while you've been on tour? If I think of any more, I'll let you know! Ooh, here's some more ideas: We love the baxta remix of Home - any more plans for dub versions of your songs? We also love your acoustic versions - and we know you're playing an unplugged gig in November - what songs do you feel fit particuLARly well as acoustic versions? Are there any covers you'd like to do? It would be nice if you said these questions came via the H&H forum as well hon - obviously we're the official forum so they know who we are - but it would still be nice if they knew that's where the qu's came from - and it might even make them more willing to answer them in more detail *hopes* Lots and lots of love and luck - you'll have a great time doing it, I know you will - and don't forget to send hugs and kisses from us all xxx Love Stella xxx

thanks, Stella! great questions. I know that Steve is a lovely guy (well, from all accounts, I've not met him in person yet, but soon!), so I feel less nervous knowing that, and having you all reassure me. I guess I just don't want to bore him to tears I'll def. mention that the questions above come from H&H - will let you all know how it goes. xo

Here's a few-
Does Steve miss drumming during the live gigs?
For Teresa - how's it going touring w/ a bunch of guys?
Any plans on touring the United States?? (I'm so biased, but I'd loooooove to know the answer to this even tho it's a Euro tour)

ok, so the interview was last night, and it all went great...you were all right, steve is so warm and genuine and kind! and tall. and really (excuse me, fangirl moment) masculine and lovely! so i needn't have been wracked with nerves (although of course i was). more on the interview to come, but suffice to say i got all ask all my questions as well as quite a few of the ones you suggested and he answered them all with grace and good humour. at the end of the interview he gave me, my photographer and friend all big kisses on the cheek (lucky for me the tradition in switzerland is to kiss cheeks 3 times ) and then they totally rocked it live. i was entirely impressed. although, can you believe it, the club played (surely not by design, must have been a stupid coincidence) 'the bitter end' just before LAR came on stage...i was cringing on the inside! and for the encore, they played 'bring me down' (very beautiful) and then were considering what to play....Steve asked for suggestions and then said '..but we're definitely not playing any fucking placebo songs' all in all a great night. stay tuned for the interview and hopefully pics. xo

The setlist was: Blood & Earth / Alone / Heaven & Hell / Running / Away / Come On Say It / Got to Give It Up (Thin Lizzy cover) / Truth / So Sad / Home / Encore: Bring Me Down / So Sad (they did this a second time as it is the current single). Also, they will be re-releasing the album in Feb with the live DVD that they will record in November, and then go touring again (not sure if this has already been posted about, sorry if i'm repeating old news). They expect to be busy and touring all through the summer festival season. Steve is also busy working on Polaroid Kiss - that sounds like a really exciting project, they've got some really cool guest vocalists lined up for that (but he wouldn't tell me who ) xo
