Just something that geeky me finds interesting, I was looking at LAR stuff online, as one does and something familiar popped up "2010 Ancient B Records cat no. ANCTB 002", seems the record label they've created is called Ancient B. Which I found interesting because: Back in March 2007 sucker-love.com/placebonews/?p=128Then October 2007... sucker-love.com/placebonews/?p=153Anyhoozle, just curious, does anyone have insight on the meaning behind "Ancient B"?

I remember this, and had realised this was the origin of the name. No idea what it means though. And John Thorne did co write the current album, but it's hardly drum and bass and dance. I saw Lamb live at The Big Chill in the summer of 2008 - and enjoyed their set very much, although I was not familiar with their music before then.
Would have been a good question to ask Steve when we were coming up with questions for the band - stuff like that always slips my mind when i get a chance to ask.

I know, same! I'm hopeless when put on the spot and have to think of things to ask. I should make a list as things come to mind

Steve has known John Thorne for years- John used to be in band called 'Candy Darling' back in the days when Steve was in the Mystic Deckchairs- think my second DJ gig was for Candy Darling- and Steve being such a nice man gave John the chance to work on the LAR album the same he did with his brother Nick- but things happen (sorry cant divulge any more info than that) and people go different ways..... and in relation to Ancient B- yes is the new Record Label- as for where the name came from well for a short time Steve was known as Stevie B and as we get older well hence the name hahaha

coolz!! i recall when i was researching the internet in the many months leading up to Hewitt's resurgence, desperate to find anything, i kept seeing Robert Smith mentioned in connection w/ Ancient B - so nothing w/ the Cure-man came about? that would have been interesting hmmmm i like the Stevie B story!
