If it looks OK in a screen print, then it's probably the monitor settings - which can vary hugely.

I really like this green scheme, Jen. I think it looks great Thank you! I have a tiny request/suggestion... could we have a bit bigger font for the "blue buttons"? All in capitals maybe? Don't worry about it, if it's too much of a hassle x

Hi Zee. I gather you mean the buttons underneath the banner at the top. They are next on my list to change, actually. I plan to make them the same colour blue used for links, and yes, caps is a good idea. Each button is an image though, so give me a few days. Possibly more actually, as I am at the Big Chill festival this weekend.
Glad you like the green. I have something else planned too, but am not quite sure how to do it yet - a surprise for now. I thinkit will look really cool if I can get it to work.

If you need any help, just yell I made the icons the first time, and the thing stopping me redoing them is I canny remember how I uploaded them anyway So I'll put in if you get snowed under.

Hey, Boo if you are up for making the buttons again that would be cool. You upload them to photobucket or somesuch, go in to the administration bit, find the bit the edit skin and one of the options is Customise images. You just need to copy paste the links to the images there. I'll come back and edit this in a mo with the exact hex colour to use to fit in with the rest of the colour scheme.
Many thanks
Jen x
EDIT: hex colour to use : 083f66

Would it be too much to have them in a similar style to the H&H/LAR lettering? Or is it better on the eye to have some variety?

That can be done .. I'd have to ask Jen for the font used in the banner though, and that is even if there was one (in which case I have to draw it). What does everyone else think?

hmmmm depends on the colour of font- the blue is a bit blurry i quite like acadian, adresack (though a bit Zep) www.urbanfonts.com/free-fonts.htmcheck out some ideas here people- there are hundreds - so will take some time really likes bleeding cowboys but done think it would be clear enough- shame

Boo, I used Calibri and used an inverted 'v' to make the 'A' and flipped and rotated the 'n' in some way. Easy to do with photoshop. It did get fiddly though as I couldn't find a way to select a single letter in a word and transorm just thta letter. I am not a Photoshop wizard though, by any means.
I think the main thing about choice of font here, is that it must be clear to read.

^ That would be done by making the letter a text box of its own? I think? Then it becomes an individual part of the image. If we don't get any more replies on this I think I'll try and go with the LAR font. May take some time though as I have another huge project on right now. While searching for a cool font would be fun, I'm the type who would find 4389 for personal use and not a single applicable one Thanks for the inputs.

^ That would be done by making the letter a text box of its own? I think? Then it becomes an individual part of the image. Exactly - and heavy use of layers. We have a new topics button - is this your doing Boo? If so, I'm liking it. Have spent far too much time on the Proboards support forum lately. Amazing how much you can do if you want. Oh, and note to Zee, especially - I have discovered that the ability to merge threads is coming in proboards v.5 - but hopefully we'll be using someting altogether better by then, so too late for us. Looking forward to the new buttons Boo. Jen x

I also like the new topics button ... is it worth fiddling with the others for now so that they match this new one? The new one is so clear and legible ... or shall we wait?
