Hi, I'm Tõnis, but you can call me Tony. I'm from Estonia and I'm 21 years old. Some of you maybe have noticed me in PFWW or Space Psychic Monkeys.
I joined because I became interested in LAR once I heard the live recording. I really-really dig it.
It's pretty obvious that I listen to Placebo, but I also listen to Modest Mouse, Queens Of The Stone Age, PJ Harvey, The Smiths and Sonic Youth. These were the favorite ones.
Umm.. I study sound engineering and at the moment I'm in the middle of my apprenticeship, so I could join the music shool this year. I also play guitar. And I like cats.
(:

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum! We're all really looking forward to the album coming out, but until then we're making do with playing the live recording again and again!
I'm Stella and I'm also zvezda on pfww (what's your name there?).
To reward you for joining I have given you 1 karma point!
Have fun on the forum xxx

Hi Tony! I ♥ Qotsa too! And I've been looking at a sound engineering course myself, but I think I'm more inclined towards live sound and lighting. But I'm only thinking about it.
Welcome. I'm geo on pfww, too. What do you think of the live recording? Do you have a favourite song?

geoi did some live thing in december, 12 days straight, all around Estonia. it was me and that another guy - we did all the sound stuff together, when it was actually 3 or 4 guy job. i really miss it. and i don't know the song names yet. ;D i'd have to listen to it again and then decide which i like best. i love the slow/jangly stuff like modest mouse. and i loved the drums. did hewitt compose them? probably, right? zeeI'd like to do sth related to music. To be in the atmosphere I feel most comfortable in. That's why I chose sound engineering. I'd like to work in studio or do some live stuff, whatever. I'd also like to do some band stuff. And yeah, I post more frequently in Psychic Monkeys, tho even that isn't much. PFWW is too crowded.

I'd never heard of the Psychic Monkeys board until now! Who's it run by - is it people who are also on pfww? I have joined now so I could have a look round, but so far I am one of those annoying people who has not done an Intro post

Welcome Tony. I'm Boo. I'm in PFWW under picassoblue and I post rather a lot (you can inbox me there as well as here with any problem on this site). I love that I can now use my favourite newbie question here as well! That is, which are your favourite LAR lyrics so far?

Well, I haven't studied the lyrics yet, so I can't tell atm. I will tell which is my favortie, when I get to know the songs better. (Yeah, I'll also look in the lyrics thread.) The last book I read was "The Gods of the Baltic Sea" which is about.. well, Estonian vikings. They have a war with Denmark, they raid eachother and burn down the Swedish town Sigtuna.

Well, it's based on chronicles and such. Characters and the details are fiction. The rest is not.
